Support #MacroSW on Patreon!

#MacroSW Twitter chats help us think in new ways about macro social work practice, the implications of the daily news, and social justice issues. We recognize the need for innovation in social work practice, and the important role that macro systems play in our client’s lives, communities, and social policy. Now #MacroSW needs you to venture out beyond Twitter chats to help us expand our reach. In our grand experiment as a benefit corporation, we are happy to announce our Patreon page is now live!

Patreon is a subscription-based model that will enable us to raise funds to support our mission.  Never heard of Patreon? This videogives a great overview. Subscribers of a Patreon site are called Patrons. As Quinn Cummings describes to NPR:

“Patreon is the equivalent of a tip jar. You can reach out to your supporters and say, would you be interested in giving me a dollar a month? And then one dollar is taken off your credit card every month.”

Generally speaking, Patreon gives artists and other content creators a way to gain financial support to keep doing what they do best. If you dig what we do and want to play a greater role in growing #MacroSW, consider becoming our patron on our Patreon page here:

You can give a modest donation of $2 to $20 or a custom amount of your choosing. You can also make your donation monthly or just donate once. In return, we will keep delivering great content on our weekly #MacroSW Twitter chats, plan expansions for the future to highlight macro practice, and provide our community with some extra perks.

Again, #MacroSW would not be possible without your participation and interest. With much gratitude and excitement, we are looking forward to your support and an exciting 2019!
