Join me (@poliSW) this Thursday (January 31st) at 9:00 PM EST/6:00 PM PST for the first #MacroSW Twitter Chat of 2019. This weeks chat will be focusing on Jack Rothman’s theory of locality development.
Locality development if a community organizing model that takes place at the local level. For the purpose of locality development “community” is defined by geography. The following questions will be explored:
Q1: What are some factors that need to be considered when undertaking locality development?
Q2: What can be done to recruit community members (and build trust)?
Q3: How can we cultivate leadership within the community?
Q4: How can locality development efforts be made self-sustaining?
